Earn clock hours anytime, anywhere

About

About Online Learning

Teachers are always working, both inside and outside the classroom, which means they don’t always have the ability to earn clock hours in a traditional classroom setting. ESD 112 offers a range of online professional development courses available through Canvas. All Courses are eligible for Clock Hours and/or Graduate-level professional development credits towards Washington State License Renewal.

Online Canvas Courses

These courses are available for enrollment at any time. These courses have been created by Washington educators, for Washington educators.

Online Courses Available

Benefits of online learning

  1. Learn at your own pace and when it’s most convenient for you
  2. Courses are flexible and designed for a variety of students
  3. Earn clock hours without having to take time out of your classroom
  4. Courses are available year-round (yes, even over the summer!) and are accessible from anywhere with an internet connection

How it Works

How it Works

By purchasing online courses through ESD 112 using the pdEnroller system, you are receiving a small discount as well as an easy way to keep track of your clock hours. Once you’ve purchased your course, you will receive an email from pdEnroller with the registration instructions specific to your course.

Each course offers a variety of readings, video, slides, and reflection assignments to be completed prior to moving on through the course. All required submissions will need to be complete prior to awarding clock hours.

When you’re done, the clock hour claim process is also unique to the individual course. Some will require the TA or Instructor to review your submissions and manually award clock hours in pdEnroller. Others will provide a “clock hour claim code” to submit in pdEnroller. Your hours will then be verified by an Admin. For either process, you’ll receive an automatic email once complete from pdEnroller notifying you the hours have been awarded.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Each organization has their own Canvas webpage. You may have a school specific Canvas login which will not work for Canvas courses provided by ESD 112 and other OSPI organizations. To create an account, visit https://waesd.instructure.com/register_from_website . To return to the site to login, or reset your password, visit https://waesd.instructure.com/login/canvas.

If your not receiving the password reset email, your email has not been verified. Please search your email inbox for an earlier email from Canvas asking you to verify your email. Once complete, you’ll be able to request a password reset email.

When you log into PD Enroller, click the drop down “Clock Hours” and then “My Clock Hours”. At the bottom of the page is the list of your completed clock hours, when you select the class you’ll be taken to its “event page”. On the right of that page you’ll see a survey to complete, if you haven’t. Once the survey is complete you’ll be able to pay for the clock hours, if needed, and access your “certificate of completion” and “inservice form” that your district may need.

Canvas

Not all courses have a certificate. If your course does, it will unlock once all required items are complete. For those without, you will receive a certificate in pdEnroller once clock hours are awarded.

ASCD

To access the certificate, click on the View Course Report icon (next to the Play button) on your home page after completing the course. Select the Take Course Survey icon (clipboard at the top, right-hand corner) and complete the course evaluation. The certificate’s icon will appear next to the survey icon shortly after you complete the survey.

CE Credits

CE Credits will email you your certificate of completion when grading is complete. This may take 1-2 weeks. Please contact them if you have any questions at support@cecreditsonline.org or call 425-788-7275 ext. 104. Their office is open Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm PST.

Please follow these steps to begin your ASCD online course:

  1. If you do not have an account with ASCD, please sign up on their PD Online website.
  2. After you have signed up, or if you already have an account, please follow this link and accept the invitation to join ESD 112’s account by clicking “JOIN”. You must be logged into your ASCD account to accept the invitation. If you log into your account and the screen tells you the invitation is not valid, exit out of the window (without logging out) and click the invitation link again.
  3. Once you have successfully requested to join ESD 112’s account, please email karen.solberg@esd112.org to request that your class be activated. Include in your email the name of the class you wish to have activated.
