SMART invites the community to participate in a forum to discuss youth suicide, depression and mental health. A panel of four experts will be available to discuss topics, including:

  • Mary Jadwisiak: Youth Suicide Specialist on signs and symptoms
  • Christina Padden, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Vancouver Clinic
  • Clark County Crisis Line: what to expect when you call about a youth that is suicidal
  • Pat Beckett with Children’s Center: treatment options for youth in our community

Community support groups/agencies present will include:

  • NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness)
  • TIP (Trauma Intervention Program)
  • Clark County Chaplains
  • Children’s Center
  • Children’s Home Society
  • Stepping Stones Children’s Grieving Program
