Evergreen Public Schools’ Union High School Titans and Hockinson School District’s Hockinson High School Hawks are celebrating this week after a triumphant Saturday at the Tacoma Dome.
The Hockinson football team, led by beloved head coach Rick Steele beat Lynden High School 42-37 in an exciting game Dec. 1. This is the second year in a row that the Hawks have taken the title of Class 2A State Football Champions. Read more about the game and Steele here.
In Class 4A, the Union Titans won their first State Championship with a run-away victory over Lake Stevens. They scored 28-0 in the final two quarters for a 52-20 victory. Read more about the game here.
