ESD directors are unpaid volunteers who are elected by local school board directors within the region. More information on ESD 112 board members may be found on the Board of Directors page.
By law, ESDs are governed by a board of directors consisting of seven citizens elected by the school board members in the region’s 30 public school districts. The board members represent geographic director districts based on U.S. Census data. The ESD board is responsible for policy and governance of ESD 112 and for providing direction to the superintendent, who is advised by local school district superintendents.
To be eligible for membership on an ESD Board, a candidate must be a registered voter and live in the ESD district for which the candidate files. ESD Board members serve a four-year term and are elected by the members of local school boards within each ESD.
