Get ready to observe, wonder, and learn with your child!
1-2-3 Grow and Learn is a playgroup for children ages birth to 5 and the adults that care for them. The playgroups take place at multiple locations across Clark County, typically in participating school district locations. The focus of our playgroups includes:
- Creating a level of comfort and familiarity with school before the child begins kindergarten
- Giving adults caring for children ideas for activities they can do at home to help promote their child’s learning and development
- Conducting developmental screening, along with the adults caring for the children, and help families with referrals for any needed services.
- Providing a safe environment where children can increase their social and emotional development with their peers
- Helping adults form connections and supports
- Focus on Executive Functioning and Self-Regulation Video

Vancouver community locations funded by Child Care Aware of Washington, and are offered year-round. Vancouver Public School locations funded by ESD 112 and VPS, and are offered 9/10/24-6/5/25. Hathaway Elementary location funded by ESD 112 and Washougal School District, and is offered 9/9/24-6/16/25.

Bring 1-2-3 Grow and Learn to your School District or Organization
School districts can customize their model by choosing the where, when, and how many sessions at each location. 1-2-3 Grow and Learn supplies the qualified staff, curriculum, outreach and knowledge of the early learning world.
This fee-for-service model is designed to meet the individual needs of children, families and schools by providing a bridge between K-12 education and families in the community.
Contractors receive the following services:
- Enthusiastic, trained and educated staff that will facilitate a 1 ½ hour sessions weekly for your community
- Curriculum
- Materials for enhancing learning through play
- Circle time experiences
- Customizable adaptations based on district goals
- Connections with families before they enter kindergarten
- Developmental screening and referrals for children before they enter kindergarten
