Individuals who may be interested in running for a seat on their local school board are encouraged to attend an upcoming informational session hosted by Educational Service District 112, in partnership with the Washington State School Directors’ Association (WSSDA).

The program will feature a presentation by Tim Garchow, Executive Director for WSSDA, who will talk about the roles and responsibilities of a school board member. After his remarks, a panel of current school board members will discuss opportunities and challenges associated with serving as a school director.

Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions and engage with other board members at the event.
