On March 9, over 100 education job seekers attended the Take Root Job Fair hosted by ESD 112. 12 Southwest Washington school districts and the ESD were represented with booths at the event where prospective employees could ask questions, get information and apply for jobs. ESD 112 provided certification services and fingerprinting on-site to streamline the hiring process for districts.

ESD 112’s Take Root initiative is an effort to help districts in the region recruit for teaching positions and, in particular, other high-demand jobs like Special Education Professionals, Occupational Therapists, School Nurses, Bus Drivers, and more. This was the second Take Root Job Fair–the first one was held last fall.
