The Board of Directors of Educational Service District 112 (ESD 112) seeks applications from candidates interested in serving on the Regional Committee on School District Organization.
The Regional Committee is a voluntary group of seven citizens representing six Southwest Washington counties in Educational School District 112. The purpose of the Regional Committee is to make decisions regarding the boundaries, consolidation, and dissolution of school districts, when the school districts cannot reach an agreement regarding the same, and to adjust school district assets and liabilities when changes in the boundaries are made.
Applications are being accepted for the following Districts:
There is one position to be filled for District #2, which contains all of Castle Rock, Longview, Naselle-Greys River Valley, Ocean Beach, Toutle Lake, and Wahkiakum School Districts; as well as part of Kelso School District. This position will be open as of January 1, 2023, following the expired term of current member Dennis Long.
There is one position to be filled for District #3, which contains all of Hockinson School District and parts of Battle Ground and Evergreen School Districts. This seat is currently vacant.
There is one position to be filled for District #5, which contains parts of Vancouver and Evergreen School Districts. This seat is currently vacant.

To be eligible, interested applicants must be registered voters that reside within the district in which they are applying to represent. These Regional Committee positions will serve a four-year term beginning upon appointment and ending December 31, 2026.
Persons possessing the status of any of the following positions are not eligible to be a member of a regional committee and should not apply: the superintendent of public instruction, a member of the state board of education, an educational service district superintendent, a member of a board of directors of a school district, a member of an educational service district board, a member of a governing board of either a private school or a private school district which conducts any grades kindergarten through twelve, officers appointed by any such governing board, and employees of a school district, an educational service district, the office of the superintendent of public instruction, a private school, or a private school district.
