Erika Johnson is the LINKS Program Coordinator. With a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a patchwork quilt of broad work and volunteer experiences - from wildlife research in Hawaii and Alaska to English language instruction in South Korea, Erika got her first taste of national service when she served as a Field Team Leader with the Northwest Service Academy in 1998. She’s been hooked ever since. Member Support Coordinator for a year and a half, Erika recently moved into the role of Program Coordinator where she enjoys working with program sponsors.

Mindy is a native Pacific Northwestern-er who has been in the work force since 1999 and had a variety of work and volunteer positions ranging from Movie Theatre Assistant Manager to Library Clerk. Her background and passion for National Service began with the Washington Reading Corps in Vancouver, WA – where she served from 2004-2006. Her second year she served as the VISTA Team Leader for the same program – providing support services for 25 full-time members. She’s attended several Leadership trainings – more prominently the NWREL Leadercorps, VISTA Team Leader Conference in Washington DC, and four SERVES institutes hosted by the Washington Service Corps. She is working on completing her BA in English at Portland State University and lives in North Portland.
